Can anyone tell me how its possible to stop people accessing the C drive without say a password.

I have been upgrading a pc for a special needs program and would like to restrict the childrens access to system files.

I have windows on a seperate partition to anything else and need to stop access.

The pc has 2 users Admin and children

    Thanks

There is a aroundabout method to do this. First have TweakUi installed.
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Change the children's Limited User Account to an Administrative Account, then log onto that account and then open Tweakui.
In Tweakui, look for and then click on My Computer then Drives. Uncheck the drives you do not want access to. When done, log off on that Account, then change it back to a Limited Account.
A Limited User Account does not get access to that part of TweakUi, they won't be able to change it back, and C:\ will not be available to them.

    Is it XP Pro?

If so====Rt click on C:\drive and select the security tab and highlight the children account and deny in the check boxes.

I don't have users on mine and can't check to see if it works.

    Thanks guys
I followed marks suggestion and downloaded TweekUi it seems to have done the trick, C drive is now hidden. (along with a few other bits)

The pc has a touch screen which alowed the children to just click on any icon going this way it can only be accessed fron the Admin side,

Just needed to hide as much as possible form them, this way they only have the learning/games icons available to them.

    Thanks again
