Sony cybershot not working with Windows XP

    I'm trying to get a sony cybershot digi camera model# DSC-F55E to work here in USA. The E is the Europe ver: using PAL format.
    This camera uses serial port & must have Picture Gear 4.XX to work in XP. I have downloaded & installed this but still no picture transfers to PC!! Does anyone have a clue as to what the trick mite be? This camera does not use a twain driver. It only uses 4.xx software to download pix to computer. Thx, Rancher

    I got fingered out! Needs the picture Gear for PAL not NTSC
