Netscape 7.2 to Thunerbird

When I installed Thunderbird I chose the option of import my Netscape 7.2 profiles. After doing so, my folders in Thunderbird don't match my Netscape folder. That is, the contents of mail accounts have been switched and not all the mail in the various folder has been imported. I uninstalled Thunderbird and tried again with the same results. Any suggestions?

 

I heard of this issue, and uninstalling/reinstalling will be of no help, since the issue must be in the Profiles. I never trusted these automatic things, so I have been doing my setups the slow, and sure way. And you can do it after the fact, if you wish.
Between my wife and I, we have twelve mail accounts, so I set up the accounts, first. Then, I proceed to do manual mail transfer , as outlined by Ramona. I never missed a thing, this way, although in my case, it takes a good thirty minutes.

 

Thanks, I now recall a similar situation transferring profiles between computer . It was a while back and I couldn't recall the details. As I recall it did take a while (and a couple of retries).

Just keep in mind that NS7.2 and Thunderbird profiles are not interchangeable, although folders are.
