need rescue disk with scanning capability

My computer keeps restarting.

I need a rescue disk.

where can I download a rescue disk to fix problem>?

Any idea what has caused this loop? And do you have the install CD which came with the machine? Or is this a machine you received second hand or bought used?

The original CD should be able to fix any problems as well as format if needed.

 

the cd is a recovery cd that erases back to origial factory setting

 

Is this for a Windows XP install or W2K? If so, check to see if the recovery console is installed. If so you can do a 'repair' of the OS, but it may not wipe out any infections on board.

You didn't answer my other question, about what began or caused this looping problem.
