An intersting question from a friend who uses Outlook Express.
After viewing an attachment - for example a power point presentation is opened and viewed.
Where does the attachment files reside ?
My understanding is that Outlook clears out the isp mailbox.
The files must be somewhere on the computer for safety as the mailbox is cleaned out
Any ideas where the files reside = at least temporarily for several days ?

In OE go to Tools/Options/Maintenance tab and click on Store Folder.

The attachment should still be attached to the mail after viewing. Should be able to right click on it and "save as. "

When you open an attachment in OE it gets written to your Temporary Internet Files. If for some reason you needed to, you can find it there.
