Here's the info " "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.

If this is the 1st time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.

Check to make sure any new HW or SW is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your HW or SW manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problem continues, disable any new HW or SW. Disable bios memory options such as shadowing or caching. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advance startup options and then slect safe mode. "

    Technical info Stop: 0x0000007a (0xc07c1720, 0x0000000E, 0xf82e4384, 0x1c5fb860)

Should I do as it says to do or can I wait for more tech help from the forum on what could be causing this issue? Can I please get some help with this issue from more experienced people who may have dealt with this problem before? I would greatly appreciate it.

In between my last BSOD's I have completely re-installed windows XP. If any of you guys have any suspicions would you say this is OS or HW related, please?

I would say try to get some help here... can you post more info on the issue though? How often does it happen? Did you just install new HW? Do you have the latest drivers?

Can you find a DUMP file and send us a debug log? See a how to here: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=33471

    See you soon!

I have to say I have been having the above issues the past 2 to 3 weeks and the computer is less than a year old.

By reading these articles that were referenced, would you say these are OS or HW errors, please?

I tried to get the dump following the page but for some reason when I look for application data, I can not find it and when I look for the user.dmp file I can not find that either. Why would that be, please?

Make sure you are looking here:

    Blue Screens:
The dump file will be c:\MEMORY.DMP or (for Mini-dumps) in C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\

If you do not have a dump, ensure that your machine is configured to write out a dump by following the directions from microsoft

The problem could be due to old drivers, or bad HW. Hard to tell until we can look at the dump.

Bugcheck 7A with NT Status code c000000e is usually related to faulty ram. Run memtest to stress test the ram.

The program will run until you stop it. Let it go through at least 2 or 3 full passes (but overnight is better). Error mean that there's a problem - let us know if it gets errors and we'll suggest some other steps (swapping the RAM around) to confirm this.

I've gone through 5 passes so far with no errors but could leave it running longer if needed. Does this type of problem seem like a RAM problem?

    Hi, Sportsaholic.

Please try to be patient. We are not ignoring you. If you don't receive responses, then people either don't have suggestions or they have already offered all suggestions they have to offer.

Here are some Microsoft links that might be useful to you.

By the way, your link you posted doesn't work. :(

memtest is not 100% accurate as some faulty ram can pass memtest. If you have two memory module, remove one of them. If your windows does not crash, the remove memory module is faulty. If it still crashes, swap with another memory module. If it still crashes, use ram from another PC.

    Hey Sportsaholic...

I am not an expert at this but... you should check your HD and make sure it is properly connected and in the right configuration (master, cable head, etc)

Also, you can try deleting your paging file and creating it again. Run chkdsk to check your HD and you can even try running your system without a Paging File for a while, to see if the error still happens.

It is very strange that you can't find a dump file after the error... do you use a paging file? You can check for your paging file by right clicking My Computer > Advanced > Perfomance Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory click change.

Good luck, let us know what happens.
