Hey I have always like the look of Mac OS X and wondered what different ways i could install Mac. I want to know the advantages and Disadvantages between Dual Boot and a clean install of Mac OS X

Also, i heard that exe files can no longer be run on a Mac. If i Dual boot, will this fix it?
Thanks for the info in advance

As far as I know, you have to have a Mac computer to run Mac operating systems. I've never tried it nor ever heard of anybody trying it but my guess is that it wouldn't even install if it's not a Mac computer. That's the route Mac took since the beginning and as far as I know, that hasn't changed. They wanted to sell the whole works, not just the OS. Something they've paid the price for (IMHO) when Microsoft took the oposite approach. There's a reason Windows is so popular and that's most of it. You have to buy Mac hardware if you want to run their OS as far as I know.

The only thing I can think of is that there may be a Mac emulator out there that you can install on windows (sort of a virtual computer) and you could install it on that. I'm not aware of any though.

    It Can be done

I know Mac OS X can be installed on an intel chip. A freind of mine has done it on his but i wanted setup a little differently.

I'll try a Mac Forum and see if i can find any answers

BTW, perhaps i did not make myself clear enough but i have a lot of .exe's that are installations. And wanted to knwo if they would still function under OS X.

    Thanks for the help
