I appear to have lost s and p, to some extent. If I press Shift, I get the shifted letter. That is, to get 's', I press cap lock, Shift-s. I have changed keyboards. I have switched from PS2 to USB. I have deleted and reinstalled the keyboard and mouse drivers. No joy. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the BBS,
Since you have tried another keyboard, the problem would most likely be in the settings.

In Control Panel check that the keyboard is using English and the region is correct. If it is a standard layout it should be set as 101 keys.

Are the drivers in Device Manager listed correctly?

Check that there have not been any settings made for Accessibility or shortcut keys.

Try using it in Safe Mode, that would indicate a driver or software problem.

Check through your programs listing and in Add/Remove Programs. Is there any software that would control the keyboard? Uninstall it.

    Matt
