    Hi,
I have a video of a friend from our church who has died and am trying to make a DVD of many slides using the program ULead. They want me to put this VOB video into the slideshow but it is not compatible with the ULead program. I wrote to ULead and they responded:
Quote: Please make sure that the video you are trying to import in the PictureShow program is supported.
    The supported formats are:
    Video: AVI, MOV, MPG, QT
    Unquote

I have searched Google for a free converter but everything I bring up needs to be purchased. I don't want to spend $30.00 or more for a one time conversion.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can convert this movie into the correct format. Thank you for your help.

    Jean

    Try: SUPER

I have seen this program recommended at many sites for converting different audio and video formats.

Thank you so much for the information. I was able to download and install the program you suggested (Super). Even though it was very confusing to me, I muddled through making an AVI conversion and inserted the video in my slideshow.

Thank you again for the quick reply and good results. :)

I am asuming that this process was carried out on your Computer and if so was the end result a DVD that could be played back on both PC and DVD player as I've certainly wasted a lot of time and DVD's by finishing up with unrecognisable disc formats when I've tried to play on any DVD player/recorder, though it was OK on my PC

    Roy,

Yes, you assumed right. I was able to play it on both the PC and the DVD player attached to the TV. I am very happy with the end result.

I know I have had many problems in the past making CDs that wouldn't play on the car CD. I just don't understand all the formatting of the CDs.

I guess I was lucky this time.

Well I downloaded and installed this piece of seemingly complex bit of sotware http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html but have had no good fortune converting wmv or mp3 files.

Perhaps more knowlegable people can help me on this one.
