Hello! A weird problem: as usual I sent a message to my list of only about 94people...and immediately ALL of them bounced! Anyone knows what might've caused such thing?

I went to the official MS Outlook Express forum, but it wouldn't open the "New" button to post. Then I remembered from a long time ago that it didn't open because of my popup function in that yellow strip across the top, so I clicked on the "x" to turn it off...but it wouldn't!

Anyway if anyone could tell me why and how to fix the OE's new craziness of bouncing my entire list?

    Thanks so very much! Adela

P.S. Also if anyone knows how I can turn that darn thing off???

What does the message in the bounced mail say?

It's possible/probable that your ISP bounced them so that you can't "spam. "

    Might try smaller groups.

Hi Steve, the 94 names are already a split from a longer list. What my server (or ISP?) does to avoid spam is hold my out going msgs in the outbox, but never bounced them and all at once! these are the 2 error msgs:

Most of the 94 names, bounced with this error msg:

    The reason for the problem:
    5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-': (ISP:B2) http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/554ispb2.html\nTRANSACTION FAILED'

(I tried that link but it doesn't work.)

The rest bounced with this error msg:

    The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-'Message not allowed - UP Email not accepted for policy reasons. Please visit http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/defer/defer-04.html'

I visited this yahoo link and after sending me from one link to another, I had to fill in a few questionnaires which I did, but the following ones I don't understand what to write and I hope you could possibly guide me as to where I can find the info they are requesting here please? Thanks:

    1) Are you sending mail/connecting to a specific Yahoo! mail server? If so, please enter the server name below. If not, please paste the DNS MX records you see.

(Under this one I explained what the problem is and copied the above yahoo error msg and hope this is what they want?)

    2) Please provide a traceroute from your mail server to Yahoo! Mail.

    3) Please provide a transcript of typical SMTP sessions that failed. If you can't provide a transcript, then please provide the response code and text. A manual SMTP conversation from your mail server may suffice.

    4) Please provide an example email that triggered the problem.
(Here, do they want me to copy the actual message I sent out?)

Thanks SO much for your help! Adela
