In Acct. Settings in T'bird where you can change the paths under "Message Storage" and "Server Settings" just to name 2 can I use these path determinations to save all of my e-mail (and address bks, bkmrks, etc.) to another partitioned drive in realtime, as opposed to periodically saving them manually? I hope that's not too confusing.

    Hi GPL,

Your post is confusing. The only place I find "Message Storage" mentioned in TB's "Account Settings" is in the "Local" account which, on my system, is a non-existent account. Also, you mention wanting to save "bkmrks ", which don't exist in TB.

I suspect that what you're looking for is a way of archiving TB's files/folders in real time, and I don't know of one. Ramona may have an idea, however.

That said, there's a very good way of archiving FF's files/folders, via the Bookmark Backup extension. It takes some time and effort to set up but, once it is, Bookmark Backup will save the FF files/folders you've selected, to the location of your choice, every time FF closes.

    GPL,

If you're referring to the "Copies and Folder" settings, then the answer is no. To the best of my knowledge, there is no automatic way to do this.
