I don't know how to check the Com port configuration on my Windows 2000 HP Vectra VL (Pentium II) PC. Can someone tell me how I may do so?

    Thanks

Hi I think this is what you want.Go to control panel and click on system, on the menu tab click hardware then device manager, scroll down to +Ports(com&Lpt). You should be able to right click on com 1 or com 2 and select properties.

Sometimes you have to diable the com ports in BIOS to allow 2K to fully control them.

Give it a try. Worst result is it doesn't help and you can set it back to the original.
