external harddrive

    I am considering adding a FireWire external harddrive (at least 80GB) to my laptop. I am looking for suggestions as to what brand to get.

    I am considering Iomega, Maxtor, Western Digital and BUSLink.

    Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with these brands? Or is there a better brand I'm not aware of?

    Think you've got all the big players there although Seagate may be worth a look along with IBM

    Dont think you can really go wrong as long as you stay with tier 1 products like these

    The company I work for has been using Maxtor external fire wire HDD for awhile now.

    no problems at all with them.
