    Tcp/ip

Usually on reboot even down to Windows 2000 will reinstall on reboot.
    Uninstall it again.
With the computer off and unplugged check that all the cards are seated properly.
If it is pci network card try changing to another pci slot to have it find the card.
If it is an integrated card on the motherboard you may need the motherboard driver disk.
Ensure that the networking is turned on in the bios.
If that does not work try removing all the networking adapter drivers ( pci ? usb ?)
On reboot it should reinstall the networking.
One other option later is in the control panel > add remove programs > add remove windows components is to remove the networking components.
    Then reboot and reinstall

Basically your tcp/ip should reinstall if taken out when rebooted if the networking adaptors can be seen by the system
