You should be able to select your default search engine on that page. Once you've done it, you won't see the page again. If all you see on that page is a blue background something isn't right.

Just a real wild guess here. Close all Internet Explorer windows and click start>run and type "regsvr32 jscript.dll" (without the quotes). You should get a message back as to whether the file registered properly or not. Then, open IE and see if you can view the page.

    I ran "regsvr32 jscript.dll" and got "DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded. "

However when I click on IE, I get the same indication as above. The only way I can get to the home page is by clicking on the home button.

Well, I said it was a wild guess. :)

OK, if that didn't do it, first make sure scripting is enabled. In IE, click tools>internet options>security. Click on internet and then click internet to highlight it and then click the custom button. Scroll down to the scripting section (near the bottom) and make sure active scripting is enabled. If not, enable it and then see if you can view the page. If it is enabled already, I'm not sure why the page doesn't show but you may be able to get rid of it by editing the registry.

So, if your familiar with the registry, open regedit and go to the following key.

    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Look in the right pane for a value named RunOnceHasShown. If it's there make sure the data value is set to 1. If it's set to zero, change it to a 1. If you don't have an entry named RunOnceHasShown, create a new DWORD value and give it that name. Then give it a value of 1.

Then in the same key look for a value named RunOnceComplete. It should have a data value of 1 also. As before, if it's not there, create it (DWORD) and give it a value of one. Once you're done, close regedit and then open IE and see if the page is gone.

Be sure to back up the key first. If you aren't familiar with the registry or have questions about this, let us know.

Ok, glad to hear it. Was it the registry keys or was scripting turned off. My guess is the registry. I'm a curious one though. :)

    It was the registry.
