I just happened to bring up the Windows Task Manager in the "Processes' tab. I noticed 3 or 4 processes named "notepad.exe ". Down in the task bar the only applications there were a few Netscape windows and the WTM. Why would those notepad processes be there?

They could just be hung apps...End task or reboot and see if they go away.

I did "end task ", and they did go away. I have made up my own sort of message reminder system. I just run schedule tasks that run a notepad file. After I read the message I close the notepad file. I'll bet they were from a couple of those, but sheesh, the process from a little app like notepad doesn't go away when you close the app??? :(
