When i click on Add to Favorites I get the window where I can add the URL. However, when I pull down the menu for 'Create in' the list is not sorted alphabetically but shows up in a total jumble. This makes it hard to find the folder I want :( .
In 'Organize your favorites' the folders and URLs are perfectly sorted.
How can I get the folders to show up sorted in the 'Create in' pull-down menu?

    Hello Bear,

    This worked for me:

In the Organize window, right click on the first folder > sort by name. That sorts the folders in the add to window.

    Regards - Charles

Bear, I had the same problem. I haven't found the answer yet but I was able to find a workaround that works.
I found this in Microsoft's newsgroups but don't have a link for it anymore or I'd post a link. This works though not without a couple of gotchas.

For me, it sorted them alphabetically, but in reverse order. A's at the bottom and Z would be at the top. But, this is better than the mess I had before I did this. At least I can now find what I'm looking for.

The second problem is this. After doing this, if you create a new folder, it'll be placed at the bottom of the list. Not alphabetically. As long as you don't add a folder, they stay in order. If for some reason you want to create another folder and want it to be in it's proper place in the list, you'll have to go through the above procedure again. I don't know of any other way yet. There seems to be a lot of people out there that got bit by this bug so perhaps MS will come up with a fix for it eventually. I wouldn't hold my breath though. ;)

Your answer may work. It's supposed to but with mine no amount of sorting the favorites would sort the add favorite list. I suspect this is what's happening to Bear. You might want to keep this in mind if you come across anybody else with this problem. ;)

    Hi Zander,

    To paraphrase Mike: 10 4 :)

Do remember the thread - Christer's, thanks for posting the work around. I'll refer back to this thread.

One of these solutions should work.

    Regards -Charles

Thank you charlesvar and Zander. Unfortunately the simple way did not work but after going through the copying/deleting/copying process twice I got the list sorted in reverse order from Z to A. As you said, Zander, it is better than the jumble it was so again, thanks :)

Ok, glad to hear you got it fixed (sort of anyway). I'll be keeping an eye open for the fix. Hopefully it will come but as I said, I won't be holding my breath. At least you know how to fix it and that you aren't the only one with this problem. ;)
