Q. about 2nd user admin. acct.

Novic here: After reading all the warnings about having just 1 admin acct I've created another one. Now I'm getting the same 'starting out' stuff that I got on my first one, which I've forgotten how to do Q. is: can I just leave it alone just to be there for an emergency? This is strictly a fun machine so I'd rather not hook the acct. up to Email and all that. I don't know if it would use my same OE and Hotmail through my ISP, Centurytel, or what.

I do want it to be there in case I get stuck with some of these horror stories I read about concerning 1 user accts but I really don't want to fool with it. If there are advantages to doing something with it, I will.

In general it's better to use the 2nd account as your primary. That's because the bad guys know the name of most of the administrator accounts - and that's 1/2 of the job of getting into your system (the other 1/2 is the password).
