I am running 'windows XP sp2', i have an 'outlook express' problem

i had about 400 emails in my inbox, they are no longer there.

my 'contacts' list is still intact.

where on my computer does OE store my emails? i would like to show OE where to look and give me my stored emails back.

any help any of you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

    thanks.

In Win2k and XP the dbx files are located:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{6EA4EFE3-FB78-41D9-B157-AC95B9108256}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

These folder are usually hidden....So you have to allow viewing of hidden files via Tools->Folder Options->View

On another note, i use firefox, and at 6pm 01/12/07 gmt, i installed and scanned with kaspersky.

at this moment, all of my favourites from firefox dissappeared apart from the a folder which was named 'forums' that became the singular favourites list ie. no subdirectories of folders.

avg removed a trojan this morning, kaspersky found nothing this evening.

I have just posted a reply to Angel Rose on exactly the same subject and I suspect it might be a solution for you.
