heres an fyi for people having problems with aol 8.0 plus if their computer uses windows 98. i had aol 8.0 plus and i was constantly getting fatal exception and illegal operation messages. the fatal exception would happen when i would log off. the illegal operation message was after i would look at something in pdf form. it was always module pdf.ocx. i dont know if im the only person having this problem so i took out aol 8.0 plus and just went back to regular aol 8.0. so far so good. i just read something in pdf form and surprise no scary message this time.:) either my computer just cant handle 8.0 plus or there was a virus or bug or something in the plus version. i hope this helps someone else who might be having problems. it took me awhile to figure this out as i thought my adobe reader was the problem. i uninstalled and reinstalled it and still had pdf problems so i by a lucky accident figured out that it might be aol causing the problem and ive been right so far. the only thing i dont like is that 8.0 thinks i have dialup and its listed as tcp/isp instead of broadband/cable/dsl. oh well, at least im problem free for the moment and can be on the internet. i guess thats all that counts.
