    Hi Lisa

Ok what all and how did you run these?

    Safe mode?

    SpyBot and Adaware?

Do you really use both AOL and MSN messenger?

Weatherbug was bad adware but cleaned up its act "some ". This appears to be a remainder that something else cleaned.

    Remove the items with HJT.

Hey could you give me the links to the spybot and adaware. When I think back to problems before with these I think I may have downloaded them from a bad site maybe.....

:) I guess TeMerc started typing before me but I finished first because his message was not there when I began my post. Hmmm!

Anyway we had some same and different. Get all items from both first.

I saw the others but was going to let Hitman get the rest.

What about MSN and AOL messenger do you use them both????

    Get ATF-Cleaner http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Install but run this and cclean and the xclean again in safe mode.

    BTW: Did Xclean find issues?

    Hitman Pro
    http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.ph...9bc670c92f6694
This will install SpyBot Adaware Spyblaster CwShredder and others in one swoop. It installs with the settings of each program tweaked for full scans of all files including zips. If you have an older version of these programs aready uninstall them.

Run hitman in normal mode first if it finds many problems run again in safe mode.

    Mike

Will do the hitman thing.....as soon as my daughter gets off the computer!!! I may have to continue doing all this tomorrow morning though since my TV shows are on tonight...starting at 9 to 11:rolleyes:

OK hadn't thought of that (hitman on other than 2K or XP)

Forgot ATF is 2K Xp only also.

    Watch your shows.

Will post later the individual Spybot and AdAware

    I have an errand also.

    Morning Lisa

Here are the links to SpyBot and AdAware when you install SpyBot decline to use TeaTimer. Update them both before running them both in safe mode.

    Adaware
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=506&file=15&evp=8dbaff7daca8f4b55bf695220993fc0f

    Spybot
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=2471&file=9&evp=2470f9bfb0cc682334ff8c4459556118

If the kids don't use Instant messengers go to Control Panel Add/Remove and look through it.

    Uninstall if exists:
    msm messenger
    aol messenger
    yahoo messenger
    viewpoint

And any other programs you know they don't really need or use. Especially screensavers etc.

Get this install but run with others above in safe mode
    EasyCleaner http://personal.inet.fi/business/ton...s/EClea2_0.exe

EasyClean does it all but stay away from Duplicate file cleaning (especially Windows OS files) unless you are sure of what you are doing.

Just run Unnessesary files and Registry clean.

    Good morning!

Downloading those now. I finally timed how long that ME computer takes to load a webpage....4-6 minutes!!! No wonder the kids are always complaining!!! So, it is probably going to take a bit to get these things up and running....

While in the middle of updating spybot....it stopped, blue screen and said:

An exeption OE has occurred at 0028:c000d0c1 in vxd vmm (01) 0000c0c1. This was called from 0028:c0012b33 in vxd vmm (01) 00011b33.

Then when I hit anykey to continue the screen went black

Ctrl Alt Dek taskmgr end the spybot task or...

Reboot power off whatever to get back and update adware. Do all the rest as directed skiping spybot and try updating Spybot again only after all other steps have been completed.
