Installation ended prematurely because of an error

I was trying to install homenet manager and got "Installation ended prematurely because of an error ", I asked for help to software support section but could not help, seems that it never happened before, they asked me to switch off firewall and antivirus before installing but error still came up. I just ignored and did not install trial, but now I tried to update my snagit, downladed setup and is giving me the same error while trying to install. Any help please

 

I got the solution from the support section of snagit, I was told that it might be caused by a Windows Script error and was instructed to go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en and download "WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu ", which I did and solved my problem. I hope someone else find this information useful,
