Hi...I recently played a few games on my laptop at work and when I was finished I tried to remove them in the add/remove programs section...
One game has ..... error code: -5001 with a very long description..
The other one will go thru the whole process of removing and still appears in list...What can I do to get them off the list???

You can use Regcleaner or Regseeker either one to clean those off the list. Both are freeware.

Otherwise you can manually do it:

REMOVING NAMES FROM ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS LIST

From the Start Menu hit Run
    Type in REGEDIT.EXE, hit ENTER
    Click the + on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    Click the + on Software
    Click the + on Microsoft
    Click the + on Windows
Click the + on Current Version
    Click the + on Uninstall

You'll see a list of program names exactly like the one in your window of removable
programs. Just highlight the ones you want to erase, then at the top of the box click on
    Edit, then Delete.

Surferdude2.......Thank you for the backdoor solution you are a lifesaver...
I had to identify the files because they really weren't named clearly but the info that came up from clicking on it showed me which one to eliminate...
Thanks again...I haven't rebooted yet but I am thinking they will be gone when I do..
