Internet Explorer ver 7.5730 [explorer keeps crashing]

I upgraded to ver 7, depsite my thoughts to the contrary....After that, explorer keeps crashing upon exiting and any pop-upwindow causes it to crash when closed.
I have Yahoo and Google Toolbars installed.
I am running win xp on a Toshiba M115 Satellite notebook

I am really at a loss

Check the Release Notes for Internet Explorer 7 Beta for the latest list of incompatible toolbars and where to find updated versions that work with IE7. The release notes also discusses some known incompatible programs and extensions as well as workarounds for common issues.

When reinstalling, it is critical you read the Release Notes, and follow the last link above as an installation "Bible ". Note in particular the discussion of antivirus programs, and anti-malware removal programs and how they can cause a damaged IE 7 installation. Note in particular that Zone Alarm firewall and Norton AV require special steps.
