Vanishing "Open in New Tab" context menu

Recently the context menu "Open in New Tab" is doing a vanishing act!. Its appearing in some pages and not in some pages. Sometimes even vanishes from the same page where it used to be!! Totally unpredictable.

Is this is a bug and is there a fix??

Google Toolbar installed?

Remove it and download the newest version.

 

It worked!!

Apparently I did try re-installing the new version, but didnt remove the old one!!

This time after remove-install it worked!!

It Didnt!!

Apparently my joy is short lived . The problem has recurred and the context menu aint having the tab thingie. I went and uninstalled google bar but no respite! Even re-installing didnt help .

Google Toolbar : Version: 4.0.1020.3054-big/en (GFRC)

IE : 7.0.5730.11

 

I don't know the answer to your problem but in case you didn't know, for a work around until you find your answer, the ctrl key + left click with the mouse will open any link in a new tab. Also, if you have a wheel mouse, you can click on any link with the wheel to open it in a new tab.

 

Hmmm, I wonder if this could be related to your problem here?

 

Mystery Solved!!!

I think I cracked the "Case of Missing Tab "!!

Apparently the Alcohol Toolbar is the culprit which was hindering IE from displaying the NewTab thingie in collabaration with Google!!

However Im not sure why after re-installing Google toolbar, the problem didnt rectify and is it bcos Alcohol was sittin on top of it?

Anyway after uninstalling Alcohol toolbar and Alcohol 52%, the new tab link is appearing!!
