need to put text online to the www audience

hey all, did not see a better place to post this, so here it be...

i need to find an easy medium to plead my case to the realm of the www, by simply "telling a story" using simple text, kind of like a blog or journal, starting out initially with a blurb, kind of like a chapter in a story, then add other "chapters" as time goes by, with the first blurb always remaining at the top, and subsequent additions below it - kind of the opposite sequencing of what few blogs i have looked at.... are there any blogs, or journals, or whatevers that would allow me to easily accomplish that, without cost?

i realize that what i actually need to do is create a web site for this, but time is of the essence, and i really do not have any time to put into this now; or, is there some easy to use free wysiwyg web site out there that i could start out with???

 

thank you! wordpress looks great, altho i am concerned after a glance at the "documentation" as it looks fairly extensive and involved, but hopefully there is a simplified path to doing what i want to accomplish in an expedient manner...
