favorites on start menu won't open window

    If I open a browser window then click on the favorites and use the favorites that come up to the left it works--i go right to the page. But if i try to open a window using the start menu favorites the hard drive gets busy for a few seconds but never actually opens a browser window. It always worked before-any suggestions-

    This happens to me occasionally if I leave my computer on a long time. I think its a bug in IE. Just repair IE. Post back good or bad.
