Automatic updates keeps applying KB832483

I have rebuilt my Win200 Pro machine from scratch, applied SP4 and rollup security patch, followed by something like 50 extra patches.

But "Security Update for Microsoft Data Access (KB832483)" keeps downloading and applying .. each time apparently with great success. Microsoft Update history shows it's done it 16 times with the big green circle round the white tick mark.

Any ideas how to stop this repeating patch application?

Thanks! Installed MDAC 2.8 .. now all ok

I installed MDAC 2.8 as per that link & restarted. After another reboot for a number more updates then waiting, the problem seems to have gone away; I'll verify that tomorrow again (expecting it to be).

Good hit you found, pity my searches didn't find that MS KB (mutter mutter .. to myself).
