OE doesn't save to sent items

This is my first time on forums of this type but I felt obliged to register.
I couldn't find recently sent emails in my sent folder and found closed posts from this site explaining how to fix the problem. After tracking the folder by checking maintenance / store folder and saving files, replacing folders etc I still couldn't get them to save. I by chance happend to check the time and noticed the date was wrong on my screen - I'd previously used the calender whilst emailing. Any way, what I thought was a problem wasn't. The emails were appearing but were listed under May. Not December! Unlike the inbox, sent items don't show as unread messages so I didn't think to check.Useless information I guess but thought I'd pass it on as members may be able to help someone out one day by starting with the simple things first. I hope that didn't sound harsh because it wasn't meant to be.

Your post pointed to yet another factor to watch out for, if for some reason the computer time had changed.

 

Another reason could be because in OE/Tools/Options/Send tab you don't have a check in the Save copy of sent messages in the 'Sent Items' folder.
