    Hello -
A few months ago I spilled some water on my Dell Inspiron 2200 laptop. I replaced the keyboard and everything is working all right - except for one thing. Whenever I have the volume on, the keyboard makes beeping sounds when it is typed upon. Do you think this is the result of a short circuit because of the water spill? Is there anyway I can fix this problem? I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. :)

Hi and welcome to the BBS.

Every key makes a beep? I would check the Accessibility settings (see Help and Support) and if there is special software for the keyboard, check that (look in Control Panel).

The water may have caused something(debris) under the keys to short some of the traces. See reply #2 here:

Look for updates of the drivers and keyboard software.
