i connected to a server as administrator for the domain on server2003.
when i created a new user i entered it in normally, but wanted to create a roaming profile that has its home folder stored on the server.

under the properties of th new user i entered next to profile path \\server\profiles\%username% and connected the home folder as the z: to \\server\homefolder\%username%.

when i clicked ok, the following message appeared:

the \\server\homefolder\%username% home folder was not created because you do not have create access on the server. the account has been updated with the new home folder value but you must create the directory manually after obtaining the required access rights.

im not sure what this means, but i am logged in as the administrator (also a member of the domadmins, domain users, group policy creator owner, schema admins, enterprise admins).....?

any help would be much appreciated.
    thanks

It sounds like the users don't have permission to create files/folders on the server that is holding the roaming profile..

I would double check your NTFS and share permissions
