You are in a better position than me to determine what is non-essential. I know my list would include:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\PhotoshopElementsFileAgent.exe
    C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\bin\btwdins.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\oodag.exe
    C:\Program Files\Photodex\ProShowGold\ScsiAccess.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\stsystra.exe
    C:\Program Files\LMPC3\lockpc.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\FixCamera.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\tsnp2std.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\vsnp2std.exe
    C:\Program Files\I8kfanGUI\I8kfanGUI.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe
    C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\BTTray.exe
    C:\Program Files\RK Launcher\RKLauncher.exe
    C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\1.2.908.5008\Go ogleToolbarNotifier.exe
    C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe

I do not see this entry in your last log. Add it to my list of things to start from running:
    :\Program Files\SpeedswitchXP\SpeedswitchXP.exe

You should also closely examine the entry:
    C:\windows\system32\services.exe

Dell uses a legitimate entry with that name, but so do many trojans. Use Windows Explorer and right click the file, properties, and examine the Version tab to see if it is legitimate. If it is not clearly from Dell, I will ask the Moderators to move this thread to the malware removal forum.

Bill, so far I tried something myself.
I noticed the WMP toolbar on the taskbar is the one always giving me explorer.exe errors.

I have disabled it for the moment and I will see whether the explorer.exe problem happens again.

    Thanks.

Make sure you are using Media Player 11 final if using WMP11. (my guess was that you had at least WMP10 installed from your logs).

Hey Bill, so far I haven't had any problems yet after disabling the taskbar WMP toolbar.

That is good news that I hope continues.
