I am recieving a "Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details." popup error message, but no errors are listed on the 'Errors' tab. In the 'Tasks' tab, my first email account has a status of 'Failed'. If i close the dialog box and imediately click 'send/recieve', everything will process normally. If i close outlook and restart, the error does not return. If I return to my computer later and open outlook, the error shows again.
I have my outlook express configured to automatically receive emails at startup of outlook express. It is retreiveing emails from 3 different accounts. It doesnt seem to be denying any of my emails or causing any other problems, it is just annoying to keep closing that dialog box to get to the emails.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    System:
    WinXP w/SP2
    Outlook Express 6.0 w/SP2

A little confusion here  - would you please confirm that you are having problems with Outlook Express and not Outlook? They are, as I am sure you know, two different programs.

    Thanks.

Check your Out and Sent mailboxes for unprocessed mail.

One suggestion for the problem account:

    1. Start Outlook Express.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
    3. Click the Mail tab.
    4. Click your POP3 account, and then click Properties.
    5. Click the Advanced tab.
    6. Gradually increase the server timeout setting until hopefully the problem is resolved.

Is one of them by any chance a Hotmail account? I ask because I have a Hotmail account (and my ISP account) that I use OE to access and ever since I installed IE7 I get the same error as you're seeing. The error in mine is being caused by the Hotmail account.

I don't have OE set to automatically connect and retrieve messages. So, if I open OE, click send and receive and select the Hotmail account, I get the error (the error does not occur when I select my ISP account). No mail is downloaded to the Hotmail account when this happens. However, if then click on the Hotmail inbox in OE's left pane, the mail is downloaded and everything works fine. I noticed this behavior immediately after I installed IE7so I'm guessing it has something to do with it. This happens regardless of how I try to access the Hotmail account. However, it only happens once. Once I've done this, the account works normally until I close OE. Then, the next time I open it, it's the same thing again.

I can't really help you with a fix right now as I haven't pursued it at all. It's just been a minor annoyance for me. To me it hasn't been a big deal to have to click a second time on the inbox to get the mail so I've just chosen to ignore it.

If I get time, I'll see what I can find about this. One more thing. If you don't have a Hotmail account but instead something like Yahoo or Google, it may be that they do the same thing. I don't really know.

Thanks for the suggestion, but since this is a hotmail account it ihas an HTML server, not POP3 and therefore there isnt an option (that I could find) to increase the timeout settings.

2 of the 3 email accounts are hotmail, the third is from my ISP. The one causing the problem is one of the hotmail accounts. The other hotmail account doesnt have any problems at all, nor does the isp account. I've tried changing the order of how they are recieved, but that didnt make any difference.
I do have IE7 now, but this problem started before i had it installed.
