    Hi,

I need a bit of help moving mail in thunderbird from one computer to another. I have two email accounts set up full of mail which i would like to replicate on my new computer when i install thunderbird.
Is there any chance of someone giving me a simple step by step guide of how to do this.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Alex,

Once you have installed Thunderbird, don't open the application yet, as you don't want to allow any Mail to be received.

    Next:
Remove the Thunderbird folder on the new PC, located here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Thunderbird

Copy the Thunderbird folder on the old PC, and paste it into the
Application Data folder on the new PC, located here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data

NOTE: If you copy the Thunderbird folder on the old PC to CD, zip the folder. This will keep the contents of the file attributes from being changed to "Read Only ". Then all that is needed is for you to unzip the file to the Application Data folder.

Let us know if you have further questions.
