    Hi ...I am an administrator for a primary school. Being a massive advocate of Firefox ...i would like to know is it possible to create a firefox profile with all the extensions the user desires and implementing it to all machines. Without the painsake of manually adding the extensions for all users. For example i have created accounts for classes in Active Directory ...but it is very repetative having to manually add them all the time for each individual machine. I have created a custom 'default' profile and placed in 'Documents & Settings'. So if anybody can confirm that this is possible! i would greatly appreciate some direction. Or if there's a way of doing it via Group Policy as well.

    Thanks

    darkdealxx ...

    You didn't say how many computers are involved, but once you have a profile with which you're satisfied (your default profile, with your desired extensions), it can be copied to every machine. I'm concerned with only four computers, but I copy my profile, as I make changes, from the primary desktop to the other three all the time.

    There is one more step that you have missed:

    Once you have copied the Profile to the user's computer you must edit the profiles.ini file. The file is located in the Firefox folder here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

    The profiles.ini file will be similar to the below file:

    [General]
    StartWithLastProfile=1

    [Profile0]
    Name=yorn6rkx.oee
    IsRelative=1
    Path=Profiles/yorn6rkx.oee
    Default=1

    You will need to change the Profile Names, which are bolded, to those of the Profile you are copying to the other user's computers. Either that, or simply copy the entire Firefox folder.
