I am running Netscape Communicator 4.79 on Windows 98 SE. When I start Netscape Communicator I get this message:
"A Network error occured while Netscape was receiving data. (Network error: Connection reset by peer) Try connecting again ".

When I click OK, the error dialog box disappeared and the page continues to load. This error occurs also when I try to load another website that I have bookmarked.

Is there anything I can do about it?

    Hi mecol,

I get those errors every now and then. It most likely has to do with the website you are trying to reach. See this Netscape Knowledge Base article:
"Why do I get "Network Error: Connection Reset By Peer?" "
    http://help.netscape.com/kb/consumer/19990504-3.html

    PS I should have added,

If you get these errors on many pages, then post back with more details, for example, what other internet programs are running (ZoneAlarm, Webwasher for example) and how are you connecting to the internet? Check in Advanced, Proxies. I show "direct connection to the internet "

I always get this error when I start Netscape because my homepage is set to Netscape Hompage. I have now set my homepage to some other website and I will see if I get this error again.
