Device Manager in Win2K shows exclamation errors at all eight (8) entries under "DVD/CD-Rom drives" entry.
Six (6) 'Generic DVD ROM SCSI CD Rom' devices !!!

    One (1) expected Atapi CD-Rom Max 52x

    One (1) expected Lite-On DVD RW SOHW-832s

Where did the six SCSI devices come from ??? I dont run any SCSI drives.

Why cannot the system access the normal drivers for my two standard installed devices ??

    Help, please ... !!!

In system manager uninstall the drives.
    Turn off your computer.
    Unplug your computer.
Remove the cables to all the drives including hard drives . You may want to restore to defaults and try again is if this does not work but I would leave that alone first.
    Reboot the computer .
    Turn off .
    Attach the cables.
Reboot and let it find all the drives ( hopefully correctly this time)
