thing is i have win 98 installed and just got win2k pro
when i try to install it dose say some of my programs wont work but there only games so i dont care.
the problem is it starts to install and when copying the files is done my montor turns off and i press space bar then and message come up saying can not write or read data from drive c:.
i throught i might have suspand on or some sort of power saving thing on but i dont and i dont really want to format the whole of c: as it as impornat files some over a gig big.
any ideas and is it worth having win2k if i already have win98. which works fine.

If 98 is working fine for you and you have no pressing reason to need 2K, I'd stay with what is working.

OTOH, if you routinely deal with large files (and the 1Gb+ files qualify as large), 2K will support and use lots more memory than 98 so it might perform lots better for you.

Will your essential files compress enough to burn to CDs so you won't lose them?
