Found this but not where i can turn it off !!

Security & privacy Security and Encryption Encrypted keystrokes for maximum security All new Logitech cordless keyboards now include secure encryption that protects what you type. Logitech is the only company making cordless keyboards that securely encrypt data using a secret key, to protect it even if it is intercepted using professional equipment. You can easily switch the encryption mode on or off, using our keyboard feature control panel.
    How does it work?
You can easily switch the encryption mode on or off, using our keyboard feature control panel. During the process, you're asked to enter a given 16-digit key. Secured transmission is then turned on, even if your reboot or turn off your PC. The odd to have a similar key on any other system is similar to finding someone with your exact same DNA code - virtually nihil. We take your privacy seriously, so that you don't have to worry about it. It can easily be switch on or off at any time.
Make any sence where i can turn this off !!!!

    Any help!

    Thanks !!!

    Quick thought Flash,
Logitech hardware is usually very good, but I've always found their software to be more trouble than it's worth. The keyboard should still work if you remove their software. Just my opinion:D

I am not sure that that is true - I have recently installed a Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard on my desktop and that is 'protected' in the same way as you describe. On installation I was given the choice of encryption/no encryption - I chose encryption.

I cannot make much sense of those instructione either, except the statement
    which presumably you can't :)

    I see several options ....

    1. Ignore the prompt - once every 3 or 4 months would not seem a problem to me :)

    2. Follow the prompt and encrypt

    3. Uninstall and reinstall the software and take care with the options offered.

    4. Follow Roger's suggestion.

Look in the options for the keyboard software. Either in a Logitec group in your start menu or if you have a Logitec icon in the system tray, double click it. If a window opens, have a look there. If that doesn't work try right clicking on the icon (assuming it's there) and see what pops up in the menu. I have a Logitec mouse and the program I use for setting it up is called "Logitec mouse and keyboard" in the Logitec group in the start menu. See if you have that. I don't have a Logitec keyboard but that's what it's named on my system so possibly they are all the same.
