I just got a call from my sister and this has me stumped. When she goes to her Inbox in OE 6 it is grayed out, is huge and extends upward to the point where she can't pull it down from the top nor use the minimize, maximiize, or close buttons. I may not be stating this quite correctly; however, I guess it would be called the blue title box ( "Inbox - Outlook Express - her name ") at the very top when you click on Inbox.

Sure will appreciate any help I can pass on to her!

Sounds like corruption on a large scale :)

Given that there is no content of importance in the Inbox search for Inbox.dbx - include hidden files and folders in the search and delete it - with OE closed. It will be recreated the next time OE is opened.

Thanks for your response.....I believe she can open her inbox and read her mail; however, she cannot control the title bar to maximize, minimize and X-out (close)--it is grayed out. Does this make any sense? If not, I will get back to her tomorrow and find out more.

Thanks for the help....I went through several things with her but she is still having trouble viewing it as she should. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner--I was called out of town. Hopefully when she goes through all of your suggestions, she will be back in business.

    Thanks, again!
