One of the Thinkpad laptops at work here is suffering from a problem I've never seen before. The bottom part of the monitor is greyed out. I'd post a screenshot but I couldn't upload it b/c the network settings are bad.

Anyways, I went into the graphics properties, and changed the display from 1028 to 800, and then back again, but that didn't do anything. I can always call IBM, but that will take at least an hour of my time. Anyone got anything a bit quicker? Thanks.

    EDIT: Here is a screenshot

    EDIT EDIT:
I just saw on the screenshot that the image I have is of the entire monitor. Go figure. I guess this means there is something wrong with the display/hardware itself, as opposed to a setting? The computer obviously has access to a functional display.

    Whaddya think?

OK don't everyone post at once in this thread. It will clog the servers. :)

Seriously, I finally called IBM and they'll be taking it back to replace the display.

Yep - that screenshot puzzled me until I saw your edit - think the screen is gone as IBM seem to agree.
