I have a 120gig hard drive that has been partitioned as such ..........115 for downloading & 15 gig to use for my programs..........can I allocate more from the 115 to the 15 to make more room to install programs ....I would like 40gig for my programs and 75 gig for down loading .
Can I do this without formating ?

Partition Magic ($69.00 USD) will do this for you...But, you can purchase a 160 gig drive for less money:)

I've heard that this is a decent freeware product. Of course, whether it will work with NTFS is anyone's guess - assuming that you're running NTFS and not FAT32.

In other words: NO, Windows itself will not have the option to resize partitions, you will need 3rd party software.
