USB 2.o PCI Card Problems [Mouse freezing with card installed]

    Hello,
    Just bought a USB 2.o PCI Host Controller. Installed it in empty PCI slot. Windows recognised it. My mouse was froze up. I have 3 empty PCI slots, Tried it in each one. It was recognised in each one. The mouse was froze in each one. Any help greatly appreciated.

    AMD Athlon XP 1.25GHz
    768 MB Ram
    Soyo SY-K7V Dragon+ Mother Board
    Win XP Pro

    If it's a USB mouse have you tried unplugging it and plugging in again while frozen?

    Other thought is the possibility of the PCI card being faulty. There's clearly a conflict somewhere and it does not sound like IRQ's

    The mouse is not a USB mouse. Without the mouse, I can not check Device Manager, or anything.
