    HAALLLAAALLLUUULLLJJAAAA!

    Or, however you spell it!!!!!!

WOW!!! 523 'reads' on this post! If I am lucky, this one won't have to be read any more, unless they are coming in to read the FINAL CHAPTER!

Yes, you guessed it...... I HAVE A WORKING PRINTER!!!! :D

I think everyone's crossed fingers and Brett's prayer (and all others!) helped me become sane again. The X83 works! I can use the software as it was meant to be used. I love this one better than the X63 as I don't really need the fax feature and I prefer the flatbed scanner to the sheet feed one. I'm hoping I'm not 'counting my chickens before they hatch,' but so far this one is a keeper. I'll be playing with it some more tomorrow to make sure that ALL the features work right. But, the main one was the software issue. The tech guy and I still can't figure out why I was having so much trouble with it. I still think it was a Compaq issue with this particular driver. Who knows. Maybe it just didn't like its looks.

I want to thank everyone for hanging in there with me and as a thank you gift, you are all invited to a BBQ at my place next week! Chicken, steaks and BEER! :D

Many lessons were learned during this crisis and I guess some good things came out of it after all. Like the full restore. My machine is much happier now. It also like the new CABLE MODEM!

So, see you all next week!

    Isn't this board the GREATEST??!!??

    :)

    Panda,

Glad things are working better for you now! Good job hanging through this one. Sometimes computers just take perseverence. *L*
