I use several different computers. On one of them the time and date is in the TSR area of the task bar. On others only the time is shown. I can't seem to figure out the difference between the different computers. Is there a way to adjust this so I can see the date also?

Right click on a blank area of the task bar and uncheck 'Lock the Taskbar' then drag the top of the tasbar up. First drag increment shows time and day, pulling up another increment shows time, day and date. This setting reduces the available real estate area of the screen though. Once done 'Lock the Task Bar'.

Pete, I had to go up 4 lines to get everything. Is there a way to change the size of the font?

Not that I know of - that question was raised recently on the BBS and remained unanswered.

BTW with just the time showing if you hover the mouse over the time the date pops up.

Thanks, "bin there done that" I use the phone a lot and it would be helpful if it was displayed on the task bar. What is that area of the task bar called anyway?

Used to be called the System Tray in 98, but is referred to as the Notification Area in XP.

    Ron ...

One answer to your "problem" is a little freeware utility called TClockEx. It replaces the system clock, doesn't need to be installed (runs from its own folder), has lots of options, including color, choice of fonts (as well as their color and size), the way the time/date is displayed, and a calendar. I've used it ever since the days of Win95, and wouldn't be without it. The screenshot shows how mine displays.
