I have one Administrator account, it's the only account, on my
XP Home Ed SP2 I.E.7 computer. I have a folder called My Music located
C:\Our Music There is a folder within this folder called CDDB, which has nothing in it. The C:\Our Music folder has all my mp3s in it.

There is another folder C:\Our Music Downloads, with nothing in it. When I try to delete it, it keeps getting created.

I don't know which out of the two folders is the original My Music folder? Is there a way to tell? I know I created one of these folders, but I did some renaming and I don't remember which is the original.

The original location of My Music folder:
    \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music

Any other folder was created by a user, or a program.

For CDDB, it is a database of information on tracks, and artists. If you use a program that can do lookups on the internet for artist, tracks and other information for MP3 or Compact Disks, a local entry was likely intended to be made in the CDDB folder.

As for the "Our Music Downloads" folder that keeps getting recreated, this most assuredly is from a software program. It likely is a default directory, and has some responsibility for Digital Rights Management as a guess. Do you download music from Wal-Mart, or iTunes or Microsoft or other online Music store?

Bill you are a wealth of information, as always! I checked WMP, Winamp, Real Player and pointed them all to C:\My Music folder. Someone recommended using a folder on C:\ for security reasons, rather than \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music It's all coming back to me.
I'm going to delete the C:\My Music downloads and see if it stays away.

    Thanks.
