I have OE setup with 2 Verizon accounts (a default and what Verizon calls an alias). When sending a new email the From: address is the default, which is what you would expect. But when doing a Reply, the From: address is the alias address. Ideally, I would prefer the From: address to be the address which the original email was sent to, but I'll settle for the default account address. I know I can manually change it for each individual reply, but I hope there is a way to set it up so the default From: is the default account, if you know what I mean. Note I'm not talking about the Reply To address. I've looked through the Accounts and Options settings but could find nothing that seemed relevant. Any help would be appreciated.

    Let me try again

Thanks for the suggestion, but as I understand it, the link tells you how to set up your email if you have your own web site hosted by Vantech. I guess I didn't make my problem clear. Let me try again. Let's say I have two accounts:Tom@a.com (default) and Tiger@a.com (alias). I receive email addressed to Tom, hit Reply. The From: address in my reply is Tiger. Other than manually changing it for each email, is there a way to make the From: address be Tom?

jrsyangl--As I read the link I provided, it tells you that the
"Reply address" line in OE Tools|Accounts|Properties|General tab determines what will be shown in "From address" when you reply to an email message. Presumably, if that line is left blank, the From address will be that of the account sending the reply.
But if that is not what you are after, then I hope someone will come along who can help.

    Confusing

It is confusing, but I think the Reply To: address is the reply address which is associated with the account, e.g. you could send an email from an account, but the recepient's email program would see a different Reply To: address.
What I am interested in is when I reply to an email. At that point, the From: address should preferably be the address the original email was addressed to, or at least the default account. In my case, it is always the non-default account. That's what I would like to change.

    Solution

If anyone is interested, I have a solution to my problem of having the email address associated with my non-default account as the From: address when I used Reply or Forward. I exported the non-default account, deleted it, and then imported it back. All the settings appear the same, but now the default account is used for Reply and Forward. Don't ask me why. :)
