I have installed IE7 from MS website twice and removed it both times for the same reason. When scrolling a web page with the mouse wheel, when scrolling is stopped the page centers its self one line at a time. This drives me nuts (which is a short trip). I have looked everywhere but cannot stop it. Anyone have any ideas or should I just stay with IE6.
    Thanks.

Reverse the setting of 'Use Smooth Scrolling' under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab, Browsing subsection.

I believe what you are seeing is what happens when the web page has a lot of font changes. This site for example will upon the first several pages of a new visit do a slight "blooming" and shrinking on change of page (but not scrolling up or down).

The way to "fix" this is unpleasant: Checkmark at least the "ignore fonts styles specified on web pages" in the first three boxes in Accessibilty Options on the General tab of Internet Options.

Not a "blooming ". The web page moves up or down one line at a time just like I was using the scroll wheel on the mouse. For instance, I use MSN as my home page. If I scroll down to the "Also On MSN" section and stop in the middle of it, the page will move down one line at a time until the whole section is visible. It can be very irritating.

I cannot duplicate that unless there is a background process taking a lot of resources. The mouse or keyboard actions are cached.

Could you post a HijackThis log? Make a new folder and unpack the Hijackthis program to this folder.
