I installed Seamonkey this morning without a hitch. Seems to work pretty much like the mozilla suite but with more features.
I did discover that even if I renamed the old program from "mozilla" to "oldmozilla" and then hit the original shortcut on the quick start taskbar, it found the program oldmozila and started it up as if I never changed the name. I am somewhat amazed at this ability of WIN XP to do this--and what it means to me is that you can not hide a program from XP by simply renaming it. You must remove it from your system completely or XP will find it and start it. I don't remember this happening with WIN95 or WIN98SE. In those cases if you changed the name and tried to start it with the original shortcut, you would get a message that the path had been broken. XP doesn't accept broken paths easily - a persistent program it is :)

I change the name of the Shortcut all the time, since I am using different versions of the same program. It was that way in Win98. But, you can't mess with the paths. I can call the program whatever I want, but the OS is looking at the path. I, also, change the appearance of the icon to minimize confusion, So, I am keeping the Seamonkey icon for 1.0.6, but I have a US flag for Seamonkey1.1b, and the world (globe) for Seamonkey1.5a.
