I have been using YahooPops for many years with not to many problems but this afternoon if started asking me to verify with a string of numbers and letters to avert spam. I know this is Yahoo and ma wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if there is a cure.

There is no cure. It happened only when I sent a few e-mails, and, it is a way, very strange, indeed, to keep spammers out. I, rarely, use Yahoo, and, it was a surprise when I started getting an eye test. I have a cataract which makes it difficult for me to see that strange way of presenting information. In fact, I flunked the first time around. They figure that spammers will try to do it their thing automatically, while anyone who is on the level, will try again.
If this happens often enough they will keep me from using Yahoo mail.

It happened about a dozen times yesterday and today it hasn't happened at all. Very strange and like you I have a hard time deciphering the letters. It is starting to cool off here and we are suppose to have snow later on this evening. Thanks for the reply, at least I know I am not along.

We, both, are in BigRed country, so weather is not going to be very different.
As for Yahoo, I am not sure what they are doing, but what you see is associated with Sending Mail, not Receiving, or even looking at mail. I used to be able to get Yahoo with freePOPs, but have not been able to for several weeks (won't login). What I saw was at the website

Yes, I'm in the NW Panhandle in Gordon. I can now receive my three [3] yahoo accounts in my Mozilla Suite and send from them also using Mozilla. Mine just acted up the one day but I have not switched over to the newer beta. Light snow here and we had a light rain before so things are slick.
